Cons: Gym is laughable, no room at all and little equipment. Breakfast served on tiny paper plates and you have to use plastic cutlery. Lifts are awful. Room overlooked by offices, which I found to be a little invasive as drapes have to be drawn to undress. Pros: This would have to be the best value in Manhattan. Cons: The disposable cutlery and plates provided for breakfast. This is wasteful, but seems to be an emerging trend. Pros: I could walk everywhere.
Pros: The price is to high for such this hotel. Pros: The people at the reception desk are nice and willing to help. Cons: What I missed is a microwave in the hotel and a water fountain on my floor. Cons: Beds were a little small for a double bed.
Pros: the customer service is excellent. Cons: I hated the room, it was ugly and my room had a view of buildings and garbage. The decor was hideous and the bathroom seemed somewhat dirty, the floor in the bathroom was dirty. The first room I was given was a wheelchair accesible room, shower was filthy. Pros: I like being in New York City.
Cons: Did not like the size of the room for the price but was still a nice place to stay turn it up. Pros: The staff was awesome! Cons: Love the neighborhood typically but I would have not felt safe if I had to walk by myself at night. Pros: Location, clean, good value for price. Pros: It was a cute hotel and in a good location for my need. Cons: The room was surprisingly small, even for Manhattan. And, I've stayed in a number of different hotels in Manhattan. Pros: I've stayed at this property previously and I like the area. Cons: I was given an awful room. The air conditioner smelled terrible, the bed abutted dirty curtains covering a low balcony window that made me feel unsafe. I had to ask for a new room. My new room was only available for one night so I had to be moved again to a third room. The third room was fair but the entire property is run down and overpriced.
Cons: There was deceptive advertising. Room was advertised as a "Double" but that actually meant 1 double bed, not two beds as typical when that term is used.

Overall 7. Pros : Staff, Facilities, Amenities and Location. I felt like I was sleeping in a warehouse. Pros : Great outdoor space.
Great location across from Chelsea market. Great dining right there. Pros : The price and location were great, though the deal we found clearly isn't their usual rate. I would never pay full price for a hotel like this. Pros : Restaurant downstairs bodega negra was excellent. Pros : Decor. We went for bachelorette party. Everything is super convenient to the hotel. Restaurants, dancing , beautiful highline, chelsea market. Close to all the stores too. All the necessary stores. Pros : Energetic ambiance, beautiful room.
Kind, helpful staff. Great hotel, will return! Pros : The location is great, very central and everything in downtown easy to reach even by foot. Pros: Staff, Facilities, Amenities and Location. Pros: Great outdoor space. Pros: The price and location were great, though the deal we found clearly isn't their usual rate. Cons: The decor is clever, but makes it an incredibly uncomfortable room.
The lighting is ridiculous to deal with, and half the lights seemed to be burned out. Also - I really need to learn to research clubs. Because I never need to stay in a hotel that includes a night club for the rest of my life. Really should be front and center in the descriptions, since some of us don't want to spend every interaction with the elevators and lobbies dealing with an obnoxious club-going crowd that goes on well past 4am. This is a hotel for bored somethings with a lot of money to waste.
If you're just looking for somewhere decent to stay in the Chelsea area where you can get a good night's rest Pros: Everything was great. Pros: Restaurant downstairs bodega negra was excellent. Cons: Dirty and staff was unhelpful when alarms continued all night. We were evacuated at 3am and hotel staff told us no rooms were available. Ended up sleeping in car. Pros: Decor. Cons: The staff made an error by charging me twice from mini bar when nothing was used.
They fixed it once I emailed them. Pros: Energetic ambiance, beautiful room. Pros: The pillow. Cons: If the room faces the main road, you won't sleep at night, way too noisy with trucks running all night long. The rooms facing the pool are comfortable. It's good only for few nights stay, if you're staying longer you'll find that many amenities are missing. Pros: The location is great, very central and everything in downtown easy to reach even by foot.
Cons: It was very loud, I had to sleep with noise cancelling headphones on to at least get some rest. My request to change rooms couldn't be satisfied. Even accepting that New York is generally a noisy place, the hotel could have done better and it's not a good value for the pretty high cost.
